Dogs, awnings, overnight

I want to keep my two labs in the awning at night. As they are used to living in the house and would also try to escape after a while; I would like to put them in a folding crate each. I don't need or want heavy metal surrounds - just something that is easy to store and erect on site.  I have had poor experiences with a couple of units bought on line - they seemed poorly made and imploded after a short while. What do you use? any recommendations?      Many thanks, Dave
