Dog flea collar issue

Fitted a Natural oil flea collar to my dog yesterday ,soon after fitting it she kept roaming about and would not settle almost appearing a bit distressed , I kept an eye on her thinking she would get used to it but no ,after a hour I took it off and within half an hour she was back to her normal self .Has any one had a problem with this type of collar or is my dog over sensitive ?
