Dog alleriges

I think modern "ingredients/supplements" and other things that are in any foods these days area course for concern, our local doctors say that there are more and more people with ailments that cannot be diagnosed

Many  of  the  Older  Generation,  believe,  HD,  that

we  are  indeed  overly  obsessed  with  cleanliness  !!

As  a  scruffy  little  arab,  I  was  often  to  be  found

playing  in  mud,  muck  &  gawd  knows  what    !!

Older  sisters  scrubbed  the  relevant  areas  before

feeding  me  a  'bread  butty'  then  sat  &  watched

as  I  got  filthy  again.  ( Well  they  had  to  play  too )

Very  few  of  the  usual  childrens  ailments  came  our

way,  until  we  went  back  to  school,  then  our  newly

re-inforced  immunity  saw  us  handle  most  of  them

easily  enough.

{ Table  Scraps  ??  Not  with  me  around,  mate  !! }

Probably need some cold weather to kill off harvest mites etc Bring on the frost...but not too much.

I have definitely had allergies in dogs from pesticides - my mini dachs got a dreadfully "burnt" skin - all her tummy - after walking where they must have sprayed.  It happened more than once - so we had to be very careful.  Then there was the GSD with allergy to flea bites - very embarrassing and painful for the dog! 

Regular brushing helps to keep the dog's coat clean and maintain the oils which protect the coat. 

Plonking the dog in a bath every time it comes in from a walk is detrimental to the dog. It can lead to Dry Skin and Irritation.
