Disaster at Looe

We are devesated, as during a recent rip to Looe our 19 month old French Bulldog bit our 8 year old son and became agressive towards me for no reason.  We have had him checked by a vet to rule out any underlying issues.  No explanation, just turned on my son mid belly rub, then had a real go at me trying to put him in the car the next day.  Son got bitten on the hand, I escaped being bitten, only because I had firm hold of his collar.  He had bitten my wife once before when he was a puppy, but that was food related, this time it wasn't.  Wife wasn't prepared to have him put to sleep, so we have just found a fantastic grown up family willing to give him a new home.  Wife is beside herself, but we had to put our kids safety first, and couldn't cope with the constant tension of having a dog we couldn't trust.  Such a difficult situation...
