just read an article in the mail on line , about a German Shepard who is still living by the side of the road near a lake in Siberia after his owner was killed in a roadside accident 12 mths ago waiting for his return, brought a tear to my eye Don't cry

Do any of us with pets think about what will happen to them if the worst happened especially those who are alone ?

A bit like Greyfriers Bobby

we normally have our dogs from rescue centres with the provision if anything happens to us they can be rehomed

We probably have relatives who would care for ours, and would leave money to do so. But Cinnamon Trust is a wonderful charity.

We've left money to Irish Setter Rescue in our wills, so we know ours will be looked after.

tda - good to see Cinammon Trust mentioned, a very worthwhile charity. I volunteer as a dog walker for them, it's the sort of small charity which doesn't get enough publicity. Happy

It is a real worry for pet owners. A friend of mine insists he will never have another macaw, because it would almost certainly outlive him.

The Cinnamon Trust is brilliant. My mother is 88 and still dog walks for them, again she will not have another pet because of her age.
