Cat flaps in caravan doors

Hi there,

I posted a question/comment on the Forum this morning and can I find it again - can I heck. I should have probably posted it in this section but I must admit this Forum is a bit difficult to find your way around.

Anyway, my question was, has anyone fitted a cat flap to their caravan door and if so did you have any problems fitting it? I have fitted cat flaps to household doors and into the doors on our narrowboat (now sold, hence the caravan) but am a bit wary of making a mess of the caravan door (It's and Avondale Avocet). On our boat our cat could go in and out as he pleased (when we were moored - obviously!) and where we now live in the middle of a large farm estate he can, and does, do the same. He has always found his way back home no matter where we moored so I would like him to have that freedom in the caravan. We could keep him shut in and only let him out when we are up and about but have you ever heard a Siamese bellow? He would be yelling down our ears and jumping all over us at ungodly hours of the night being so used to going out when he pleased.

Any thoughts and/or suggestions?
