The use of very strong pesticides to kill vermin has lead to a very worrying decline of the barn owl who unfortunately feed on treated  rats. This lovely creature is threatened with extinction if nothing is done so the Barn Owl Trust has started a petition online to have the whole use of these strong poisons put before Parliament for debate on their control. I would strongly urge everyone on CT if they value the continuing existence of this bird to sign the petition which is already reaching 120,000 signatures worldwide. Thanks for your support.
