I've found out today that one of my lovely little Westies has a massive tumour in her intestine. The vet says it's not operable so we are looking at keeping her happy and pain free for as long as she has left.

we've  had a great summer in the van in Cornwall but I never imagined it would be her last...

So sad.

My poor little girl has finally left us today. I'm utterly devastated but am glad that she is now at peace.

She had a lovely Christmas and New Year which she wasn't expected to make...

She got to see all the people who love her one more time.

Very sad to read this 'ggregu', as one who has loved our dogs over the years and hurting at their passing I sympathize.

Thanks for your kind thoughts and sympathy. It doesn't get any easier how ever many times I do it. I am so grateful to my lovely vet who came to the house and was so gentle and loving in what she did.

Vets really are very special people.

Sorry to hear of your loss GGregu. Dogs become so much part of the family and are sadly missed when they are no longer there.

So sorry to hear this news Gill. It's never easy when you have to make that final decision. But you will always have wonderful memories of your times together and so nice that you were with her and at home when the end came.

Will be thinking of you.

Gill, so sorry to hear of your awful loss. We've been there too, and know just how you're feeling. Thoughts are with you.

Thank you for your kind words and sympathy. She's left a huge gap in our lives but memories help to fill this.

caravan won't be the same without her sitting on the front chest looking out of the window!
