Recommendations for a new camera

On our last holiday abroad we went on a day trip to Mostar in Bosnia - H to see the historic bridge amongst other things. Lovely day out until I ad my camera stolen just before we got on the coach to return to our hotel.

So I'm looking to replace it and I wondered if any one could recommend a good replacement. Doesn't need to be anything special really, just a basic digital camera with some digital and optical zoom and, most important, it must be easy to transfer pictures to my PC.

Any recommendations?
