Kayaking

Before we bought our motorhome, we had 2 individual kayaks, 13' & 10' long. Clearly, they are not suitable to put on the roof of our Burstner so we are asking if anyone in the 'community' has used inflatable kayaks and what their thoughts are. We're looking for fairly robust ones to be used on the sea as well as lakes - we hope to go to the Polish Lake District soon. Any advice will be most welcome.

Thanks in advance,

gooniechris and other half.

We have a Sevylor Colorado which I am sure can be used on the sea, we have only used it in canals, reservoirs and rivers.  Seems robust enough, we take two dogs and it stands up to their claws on the sides and floor.  Wouldn't like to scrape over something though.

We have a Gumotex Solar 410, a very robust canoe, not cheap but should last our lifetime. We have used it on the sea but not in rough waters - our limitations not the boat!
