Kayak Fishing - does anyone do it?

Off to the Chesil in 6 days time, and on this occasion, I am armed with a fishing kayak which will virtually guarantee a BBQ and fresh mackeral on the beach. Do any other members have any experience of kayak fishing or are you never off the water? I have no intention of going into water which has more that a one inch swell on it! I will leave that to the younger members of the family!
