Fibre Optic Broadband

Well, this week Fibre Optic Broadband finally reached our little village in the wilds of Northumberland. And I switched to BT Infinity as soon as I heard.

Before the switch I was getting 2.4Mbps download and 0.38Mbps upload. Buffering was the norm and wasted a lot of time - given the fact I run a number of websites and design & maintain websites for others as one of my hobbies.

Went live with Infinity this morning - and the difference is amazing. Here's the new numbers:

As you might imagine, I'm very pleased with this as it's going to save me oodles of time!

I thought I'd share this as info for any members who are considering whether fibre optic is worth it.

My vote would be "yes!"
