Best reads - Club Together Book Club?

I'm just about coming to the end of Deborah Moggach’s book, Heartbreak Hotel. I found it a very enjoyable read and very amusing. But what should I read next? Any recommendations?

I also wondered if anyone would be interested in a Club Together book club? According to a member survey earlier last year, reading is the most recurring leisure activity whilst caravanning. I know I’m a book worm and I’m sure there’s a few of us out there who enjoy a good read. Anyone interested or any suggestions?

I'm waiting for daughter to get No.11, The Blood Road, as she reads then first and then passes them on.wink Also wanting 2 of his novels, but will keep my eyes on Kindle as they sometime come on there too.

Can't get the link to work, B2. Do you know when it's due to be on, or do I just have to troll through the Radio 4xtra i-player.

edit Found it!!

Sorry link doesn't work!

For anyone else interested go radio 4extra schedule was on today, 20th, yesterday and day before. I find the BBC search facility on par with this site 😲😲. A friend left me message about repeat of 3 patter called Retribution - couldnt find it from the title 😲 so went through the schedule for a week or more, title was right and I've added it below.

Another great listen is Dangerous Visions Link tried linking slightly different way.

Also Hilary Mantel 15 Minute Drama - Hilary Mantel - Beyond Black, Colette's Story, Episode 2 - @bbcradio4 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00qzjr6 tried yet another method with the link. Sorry don't know when they were broadcast but within the last month 4 or 4extra.

Sorry for suggesting talking books rather than reading ones 😉

Try this B2, I found it by googling Hilary Mantel Beyond Black Radio 4. It took me to the page which also has links to the re-broadcast on 4 Extra (right hand side of page.) To get the details on here I click right and copy the details across the top of the BBC page, then make a post and highlight the word LINK, then click the link symbol on here and paste the copy of the link in the box. If you just paste the details and don't use the link symbol it probably won't work.

Thanks brue. I did use the link symbol with everyone. I chose share option from BBC and copied to clipboard. Who knows???

Sorry folks I tried them all and just get bad request! But the listening is good if you find it 😂😂

Brue yours works, but extra stage to go through if you're actually wanting to share the link from the beeb.

I've sorted the other one LINK hope it works! It's called Dangerous Visions Resistance. I did it via Google but otherwise the same posting method. I'll check it out once I've updated the post.

😁 it worked. How bizarre 😉

To be honest B2, by the time you've worked out my instructions picking up a book would be easier. laughinglaughing

Also I'm sure I did an edit to make it clearer but I don't think the edit worked. frown

Have been reading a library book by Gregg Hurwitz ‘Hellbent’ which kept my interest so will try and get previous books featuring the same character. Thriller type of book which features an ex US trained ‘hitman type character’.  Unfortunately, I often read books out of order and am wondering if he was an active 'hitman' in the earlier books.  I’ve also been told there is a new Lee Child ‘Jack Reacher’ book out next month which I expect I’ll read when the library have it.

Just started reading the "Tattooist of Auschwitz" on the Kindle. I never usually read love stories, but the descriptive narrative of life and death  for those held in the Concentration Camp, makes compulsive thought provoking reading.
