Beach Casting and fishing.

Hi all. I have always been a huntin, shootin and fishin type of guy, but, living and having my business in Leicestershire, the latter one tended to suffer as getting to the coast to fish was a near impossibility and to go regularly was! But, I am now one of the great unemployed since my retirement in January this year. I still shoot, I still hunt but now I have time to practice my third love, fishing. I do fly fishing and really enjoy that but being on a beach next to the surf is for me unbeatable. Does anyone beach cast? I have only just really got going and have bought kit to enable it. Really enjoying it. Any advice would be very welcome. The other thing I wish to know is does anyone go boat fishing off the coast anywhere? I am particularly interested in the south coast.
