As a child I was fascinated by the natural world, particularly birds and devised my wish list of birds to see compiled from a bird book I received for my tenth birthday. My British Dream List at this ripe old age included the following-
Bee-eater x
crane ??
hoopoe x (seen abroad)
osprey ??
sea eagle ??
golden oriole x
fire crest ?
crossbill x
hawfinch x
penduline tit x
dartford warbler x
red footed falcon x
During the decades since I've definitely managed to see 3 of these, possibly 4 but the rest I'm still searching for.
Just wondered what was/is your wish list and what are your 'prized' sightings?
