The Cranes at Slimbridge

The pair of cranes which were hand reared at Slimbridge 4 years ago and returned this year have hatched 2 chicks - apparently the first time in 400 years this has happened in England.

Unfortuantely I'm not IT savvy enough to do the clever jiggery-pokery creating the link to the story on ITV Westcountry news, but if anyone is, it's fascinating to watch the two little bundles of ginger fluff just poking their heads above the grass with the massive parents towering over them and feeding them. One hatched last year but didn't survive long but the staff have high hopes that this pair will make it. A lovely story!  Happy. Use left and right arrows to navigate.
