Swifts

Since living where we are now, 16 years, we have had swifts screeching over us. Where they nest I don't know but they never fail to come.

This morning I saw them for the first time after being alerted by their noise. Only two though. I muttered under my breath "welcome home' and I almost choked up.

This evening I counted ten. What wonderful creatures yet unbelievably there are morons in other countries who still live in centuries past and think nothing of killing them. What a sad world we live in.
