Surely the sanction was ill aimed then. I do hope such developments, projects and news will continue to be highlighted by members. Just out of interest, reading back over those posts from 2016 how things have changed. We now have beavers in several parts of the UK, Storks, Cranes and Bustards are now breeding in increasing numbers here and WT Eagles have also been reintroduced in England. Successes the lot I’m sure. What’s more projects like these make for excellent planned trips in our vans for us nature and outdoor lovers!

I can’t remember if this has bern mentioned before. Beavers have been reintroduced on land owned by the explorer and President of Survival International, Robin Hanbury-Tenison, on Bodmin Moor.

They called the first one Sigourney……. ๐Ÿ˜™

My fave was the Beaver, I love watching them, they have a game plan that just happens to slow run off & fight against erosion & floods. Industrious little guys๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Coincidentally, I have this week received a Christmas Card from a friend who lives in the Borders. In this, he reminded me that it was time we visited them and took an interested look at their community project and the countryside beyond. For the interested, and apparently 4 out of 5 of us Brits are supportive of rewilding the countryside, here are the details/timeline of their epic success to date.
