Had a great day out at the RSPB Lakenheath Fen site today. Great variety of birds seen with a variety of habitats. Among highlights were Sedge Wabler, Reed Wabler, Bittern, Hobbys, Marsh Harriers, Buzzards, White Throat, Cuckoo (4 calling most of the day) and Bearded Tits (photo below of adult and young). This area is great for wildlife sites with Wicken Fen and Welney not far away. So anyone in Ely, Newmarket, Thetford or Cambridge are spoilt for choice.
