John O'Groats big waves

Fantastic pictures, John.  Thankyou for sharing, not surprised the camera now needs to dry out.

Have to say, my nikon stands up to abuse very well indeed. Dust, water, me,  you name it. Never missed a beat in the last 25,000 frames. It'll get dried, cleaned, and ready for the next onslaught. Just a normal day. ;-)

Great photos again   Thanks for sharing.  Can't believe we've got on a boat there to cross to Orkney, thankfully it was mill pond calm.

Stood on the end there to get a shot of a RIB heading for Orkney. Definitely not a location for a shot in those conditions.

CY you should have seen the standing waves out in the firth. Like monsters from an apocalyptic movie.

Excellent pics JD, very atmospheric-I'm another ocean lover, I like the milky slow shutter shots too, the other end of the scale
