Encouraging Nature – Wildflowers and Plants

Earlier in the year I met with Richard Poyse, Plantlife’s Project Manager at Ranscombe Farm Nature Reserve. I asked him a few questions about how to encourage wild plants and flowers including how to identify native plants and wildflowers, how to tell the difference between Spanish bluebells and native bluebells and what to do if you have invasive plants growing. I took the opportunity to film his answers as I thought people would appreciate his advice as he is an expert in his field (quite literally!).

I’m looking to edit this video in the next few days but wondered if anyone also had any advice or recommendations to share on what people can do to encourage wildlife, wildflowers and plants in their gardens and surrounding countryside?  It would be great to include some member advice in this video too. Many thanks.
