On the news this morning.. Some world class competitors are giving this years Olympic Games a miss because of the possibility of contracting the Zika virus, which is rife in Brazil.

Would you, if you were a world class competitor, avoid attending those games, or would you attend anyway ??

As a career athlete I would have to weigh all the pros and cons as any illness could affect the whole of the rest of my career and my life. I would also research the whole subject as there are some wildly differing opinions about the Zika virus - I have seen it suggested that its the chemicals that are being used to kill the mozzies that is responsible for the disaster - but who to believe that's the hard one?

Well, as the olympics is all about who has the best doping regime, perhaps it could just be contested in a lab somewhere?
