I was on the point of turning in for the night - Jordan Spieth 5 shots clear with 9 holes to play, but then ... wheels come of in a big way, particularly 2 shots into water at the 12th. So stayed with it till the end. Great achievement by Danny Willett, only the second Englishman to win the Masters. And to think he nearly didn't compete - lucky thing that boy of his came along 12 days early! Happy. Use left and right arrows to navigate.

Great excitement and Danny Willett has to be admired for keeping his cool once he new he was into the lead. It did look for a while that Spieth might draw level and force a play off. Nice to see other Brits do well.

Great to see a Northern Englishman winning such prestigious event. Just shows that Northerners are a cut above the rest.

Well done Danny Willett!

It's amusing that he's referred to as "English" whereas Andy Murray is always "British" - except when he's losing!

I'm surprised no-one from Wales or, dare I say it, Scotland has been on to point out that they have had winners of the Masters in the past! Wink

Well done Danny Willett.

A man from Gods County overcoming all the odds, great resilience and true yorkshire grit was shown by an Englishman for the first time in two decades. Good to see....Cool
