How's your footy team doing?

I'm starting this thread again because it seems to have been a casualty of the change over to the new site. The Terriers scecured another away win last night at Burton. Two wins in a row now after a barren spell. It'll all go pear shaped on Friday when we go to Norwich because the game is to be televised , we haven't won on the telly for ages.

Well, that's one more manager looking for a new job then!  I was never a big fan of Darryl Clarke although he did well enough in turning round Rovers' fortunes when they were at their lowest ebb. But for me he was always a good non league manager trying to turn non league players into something they could never be. And it's clear that where he did buy players in from league clubs - 2 hopeless goalkeepers and 3 strikers who between them have scored less goals than one midfielder - he was unable to get them to perform to their full ability.

So good wishes for the future to Darryl - it was clear that the club had headed down a cul de sac this season - and now was the right time to make that decision in time, hopefully to get a new man established before the transfer window opens in January. I wonder who they've got in mind?

No thank you! wink

I wouldn't turn Steve Bruce down though I suspect he's a bit too expensive for us poor souls. Quite fancy Paul Hirst who did well with Shrewsbury last year and might be able to gee up the supposed super strikers we signed from them at the start of the season  (but who don't seem able to hit a double width barn door for us! yell). There's always Ian Holloway, Rovers through and through but I suspect his time has gone.

Please, though, anyone except Steve Cotterell!

Perhaps your owner will think outside the box and sign an unknown from Europe, it worked for Town.

If not then you're consigned to getting someone off the manager's merry go round.

I'm currently struggling with the decision whether to go to the match this afternoon. The weather forecast for us in the Pennines is dire with snow followed by freezing rain coming just in time for kickoff.

The players will be ok on that lovely under soil heated pitch😉but getting home again could be difficult.

I guess I'll give a coat of thinking about in another hour.

Be safe if you're going out this afternoon

Another loss for the Terriers. Dominated possession again but couldn't score and conceded a goal on the counterattack 😭
