How's your footy team doing?

I'm starting this thread again because it seems to have been a casualty of the change over to the new site. The Terriers scecured another away win last night at Burton. Two wins in a row now after a barren spell. It'll all go pear shaped on Friday when we go to Norwich because the game is to be televised , we haven't won on the telly for ages.

Not being single team man, those that I watch for most have either been promoted .... Blackburn Rovers & Tranmere Rovers, or survived .... Newcastle United, Barrow, and East Fife. So not a bad season all round.

Well done to Rotherham tonight. I saw the first, very entertaining 2-2 game on tv and was looking forward to tonight's instalment, but SWMBO decided it was her turn for the remote tonight!

On another note.....what odds Moyes back to Goodison now the "Bung-Taker" is on the dole???

I've posted a tribute in the other section but it's probably apt  to mention here the sad news that Ray Wilson MBE passed away on Wednesday last week.

All change I see, have'nt been on for ages, as I have been living in the caravan for over a year, sold our house in Nottingham and bought a property with my daughter and partner and will soon be living in our little annexe  next to our grandson. Have gone from living by Nottingham Forest who seem to be sorting themselves out after the disaster of previous owner, and now living by Burton Albion. Have renewed season tickets at Forest and looking forward to new campaign.

Was not really looking forward to World Cup,  I did not have the usual excitement, but my how that has changed, good look to the boys

So  good  to  see  you  posting  again,  Pauline  laughing  !  It's  almost  time  for  the  Annual  'How's  My  Team  Going  to  Do'  party  now.  Strange  isn't  it  that  we  all  wish  each  other  the  very  best  results  until  they  play  Our  Teams   embarassed.  At  least  I  won't  have  too  much  to  worry  about,  down  in  the  depths  of League  2  ( or  Fourth  Division  as  I  remember  it wink ).  After  the  World  Cup  winds  up,  I  just  hope  &  pray  that  the  only  news  about  footy  is  on  the  sports { back }  pages  and  nowhere  else  !

Take  care,  and  have  fun  .

Just happened to notice a pre season result: Accy Stan 3-0 Huddersfield (of Premiership fame)

Good result, but a little way behind Everton's 22-0 win against an Austrian team (they probably forgot to take their skis off!)

The Stanley result was a wake up call which has fallen on deaf ears.

Having beaten Bury 4-0 in their first friendly the Terriers have gone steadily down hill. They've played  3 45 minute games in something called the Interwetten Cup finishing fourth out of four. They did manage a 1-1 draw with Darmstadt in a full length game before leaving Germany.

We'll see what the new signings are like it's our one and only home friendly tomorrow evening against Olympique Lyonnaise the GS and I will be there it's becoming a bit of a tradition.

That's more like it. 3-1 to the Terriers against a side already qualified for the group stages of the Champions League. Mind you they should have been 4 up at half time.

First game of the season away to Birmingham and can’t be happy with 71% of the possession and only come away with a draw.

I bet Brian is a happy man with a 6-0 win!

Me? Well, a welcome to Division One football with a 0-2 defeat against Gillingham
