Sport has been a passion for my whole life, but I fail to see why a man who has spent his life playing a game for personal pleasure and wealth is in any way deserving of a knighthood.
I agree with the last two posts and cant see the connection between highly paid sportsmen who after all do it purely for themselves and the honours list. Like most things its lost its way and needs scrapping.
