Day three, been a really good race so far. Lots of new names coming to the fore. Great breakaway and stay away win tonight by a very happy and excited Belgian, Taco Van De Hoorn.

Not Giro related but a shout out to Tom Pidcock for winning the World Short Course X-Country championship a few days ago in Czech Republic. Last at the end of lap 1 but first at the end of final lap 11.

I see that TGH has fractured his left hip so it will be a while before he can compete again, unfortunately.

That’s a bad accident. Haven’t managed to watch that much of race this year, hopefully will get to see final week. Cheering G on, he deserves another win.

Tom Pidcock is an amazing bike rider across different cycling disciplines.👍

Bad weather over the coast couple of days have curtailed the racing somewhat, with the favourites waiting for better conditions before really getting down to business. It hasn't helped that there have been 44 withdrawals already, so most teams are below full strength.

Yes, we caught the first day, time trial. Missed it tonight though. Poor Cav, hope he’s ok. Be so good if he could get to TdeF, he really inspires on that race.

Heard him on TV this evening saying that it's his final year cycling ! wonder if he's going to take up road repairs with all that gravel & grit from his and his friends  ( aging ) bodies  wink  ??

It was indeed. Great to see G doing well, fingers crossed now he can take it to the final day. Primoz Rogliz didn’t look too comfortable to me, we have missed some of race, but I gather he might have been injured in a fall?

GT has extended his lead today, but Primoz was pushing it so it looks as if the Pink Jersey is going to one of those two. What happens over the next two days should decide the ultimate victor. Hope GT can be that guy.

Exciting finish yesterday, it looked as though G had got the better of Rogliz, but then the tables turned. Going to be an exciting finish to this race🤞
