England Cricket

I Honestly think I'm growing potty !!  Woke up in midweek looking forward to the Test Cricket series against South Africa.  But the performance has been utterly appalling,  pretty much like the stuff that caused this particular thread to be started.  

Once more unto the pits, dear friends.........  

The only good thing was the early finish to BBC 4's day at the test which allowed Brian to get well settled in time to watch Laura Muir  take another GOLD MEDAL.  That girl will go a long way  !!

Hmm,  seems like this test match is heading down the same road as some others that I can recall ...................

You can say  whatever you wish, Trellis, it cannot hurt my simple feelings any more than the sight of appalling crikit already does,   . Indeed it really tickled a certain aged sense of humour to see that despite the loss of the first two days, South Africa rejected the offer of adding a day to the end of this, the third Test.  Could have been an utter waste of time and effort to publicise as well as printing tickets and arranging Security etc, etc !!

On another level, is it really so long ago that  after two short pitched deliveries in an over the Umpires would step in and issue a Warning to both Captain & the offending bowler ?

   I left it a while to react  BUT as I understand it " Umble Pie "  should be the main course not  a sweet or dessert !!

More appalling Crikit,  they couldn't beat two eggs with a chef's whisk or my fork 

1. Well that was a comprehensive masterclass in playing T20 . Not sure the word humiliated quite covers it .😭.
