I'm fed up with these short dull unseasonably warmish days and long, long dark nights. But good news It's arrived, it's all 'up hill' to the summer now! Out with the SAD syndrome I say and in with the new! I really miss the bird song and the smell of newly cut grass, what are you missing?Happy

Normally I like the winter, especially if frosty with blue skies and sunshine which has been a bit lacking this winter so far. Sad Hoping for some brighter colder weather in January.

This is my first time caravanning and we have only been out in cold/wet wintery days but thoroughly enjoyed every moment.  I cant wait to experience the longer, warmer summer days.  It will be interesting to compare.

Don't mind any type of weather but don't like dark short days. So nice not to both go to and come home from work in the dark now retired. We'll enjoy watching the days getting longer

The Sun!  It's been very very wet up here in Yorkshire, and when it's not wet it's grey and very windy!  Today looks more promising, so let's hope the start of longer days brings some sunshine and calm days!

You're right there Val, we've just spent 4 days there and only had one decent day when we got to Richmond. Now that summer is on the way we're heading south tomorrow chasing the sun....we're going to Lincolnshire.Wink

Hope that sort of weather arrives before next year, we need it next week at the latest.Laughing

Nellie I hope you find it drier in Lincolnshire am in Berkshire and its bucketing down.  Just done an emergency run to the hospital as daughter in law left her birthing plan at home! Roads awash.

It's a lovely sunrise here this morning on the club site at Littlehampton and an almost cloudless blue sky. We're just having our first cup of tea now.

We'll need to go shopping this morning. We're due into work at 6 p.m. this evening, so we have plenty of daytime to ourselves.

Now that the winter solstice is over, we should get three minutes more daylight today than we had yesterday, is that right?

I don't think it is even 1 min a day at this stage. Initially the sun rises slightly later in the morning, although the overall day length is slowly increasing.
