During this time of the lockdown we keep looking at photos to remind us of where we were "on this date".

!2 months ago today we were in our RV in Siskiyou National Forest Oregon. We had come about 2 miles up the track to find it blocked by a tree. frown There had been nowhere to turn around before this so we had to go on to find a place for the night and to turn around. We had information that there was camping spots on this track. Normally i would have gone up and checked it out on our scooter that we carried on a rear rack. Being very tired and relying on information we had I had not frown We managed tojust get past going uphill but the back end of the RV  slid into the bank.

The photos show us on the way back down  knowing we only had one chance, as if we reversed we would slide again. The big worry is the air conditioning unit on the roof which is the highest point. The root of the tree was on the high side up the steep embankment and we managed to raise the lower end just enough and use our sturdy step ladder to prop it up a little higher. We managed to get back down OK and no damage anywhere to the vehiclesmile

So what were you up to 12 months ago?

Last year we were getting ready to fly to Hong Kong today to visit our grandchildren.  On to Bali for our sons wedding and then Singapore.  How the world has changed!

12 months ago to the day, we were just into the start of our Euro nine week trip. My wife took this photo from the car whilst traveling east on the E42/A7, Belgium.

Supposedly the tallest boat lift in the world at Strépy-Thieu, Belgium.

On the 28th April last year we were on our way down to Taunton in the new motorhome to have a Strikeback Alarm fitted at VanBitz. Rather ironically, given the current circumstances, a few days later we had to cut our trip short during a stay at Cirencester because I was not well with what turned out to be a chest infection!!!
