What's your best bargain?

Somehow I have ended up with two part filled gas bottles before our trip abroad in 10 days time. Consequently I decided to acquire another bottle.

As Ebay is normally my first port of call I have been watching a number of auctions and the prices being asked (and got) are crazy. Empty bottles are going from around £15 to £25. Luckily I found a listing for a 6kg Calorlite nearby which was really in the wrong category and so had few bids. To cut a long story short I won the bid for £9.50. What is even more satisfying the seller said there was a "bit of gas" left. After weighing the bottle and deducting the bottle weight (thanks to info on another thread) the remaining gas is worth around £8.50.

As I still don't like to throw any gas away its lucky that, only 30 mins after winning the auction, we visited a local car boot sale and bought another bottle on sale for £5!

It doesn't look like I'll be buying a Safefill bottle for many years to come.

So my question is - What has been your best caravanning bargain

My best caravan related bargain buy was a Isabella sun canopy with carbon poles for £75.   Great condition too.

Charity shops... a M & S dress 'autograph' dress for £1.
