What are you all up to

 Oh !! That's done it !!  ??  The Concorde failed it's M.O.T a couple of weeks back ,,steering ball joints and offside brake rubbing etc ,advisory on air bag bellows on ofside rear !! SO ,,arranged for the works to be done by a local coach firm on LAST Monday ,but ,,,,no start ,dead as the proverbial ,,padlock through a car sign on dash,in other words 'locked out ' .SO,,R A C attended ,,traced the problem (via diagnostics) to the ECU.WELL,,that was a problem back in May when i was driving back from Germany into Belgium in a horrendous thunder storm on the Auto route ,lost my gears etc ,but sorted by an 'Iveco' garage and on my way .has just manifested itself again !!  !!  SO,,R.A.C again  came to the rescue last Monday ,towed me into the coach firm ,(where the MOT work was due to be done .Their 'sparky' came today ,found that the ECU has shorted out,due to the water ingress (located above the N/S front wheel !!!!).Negotiations are now ongoing with my local Iveco main dealer for a replacement ECU and re-program etc ,possible wiring loom upgrade ,re-program the keys etc .AFTER CHRISTMAS ! Woe is me !! 

WELL ,thats Christmas buggered then !! Was due to go to the I.o.W again ,BUT BUT !!  SO ,,,so  ??  ??  ??     .

Oh Tricky what a disappointment 😢. Hopefully it can be fixed even it is into the new year. I do hope you can manage to sort something out for yourself for the Christmas period.

Oh Triky how disappointing? Do you have a plan B? I do hope you manage to get to the IOW for Christmas. How about a B&B, hotel or a cottage?

I've spent a frustrating couple of hours trying to get the seasonal lights working. Why is it that although they are working fine when you pack them away, they mysteriously malfunction when retrieved?

Sorry to hear your news Tricky hope you get it sorted ASAP. We put our outside decorations up last week and put the inside tree up today. It took well over an hour but thats it done now so another job to tick off the list.

It's called s***s law CY. All part of the joys of Christmas 😕

That's such a shame Tricky. Hope that you're able to get it all fixed without too much expense and you're able to get away again early in the New Year. 

Good evening today, just successfully installed a pump on the hot water to our kitchen tap, took less than an hour and has made a big difference.

We have very low pressure on the HW to the kitchen, got even worse when we had to get a new tap, despite choosing a tap for a low pressure system.   Now it is almost as good as the cold supply.

Next job here is to find out why the pump on the heating in the "granny flat" has stopped working.

Work continues at the new house, bedroom floor finished, skirtings half done, DD will be able to start hanging the wallpaper tomorrow.

Unpacking is progressing and the place is starting to look like it might be organised by Christmas.
