Hope you manage to get all your visas sort. TG

Sounds like a good trip, JVB , have a great time.

Best wishes for your OH's visits to the hospital, millie.

Brue, I think I'd wait for a week or so before heading out in your van again, and hopefully by then the rain and winds will have passed through.

Tda, St. Mary's Church WWI memorial certainly sounds well worth a visit, but it'll be a bit far for us to get there from Cheltenham. Have a safe trip home.

Have a wonderful time JVB. I am quite envious as we are grounded at the moment by some rather worrying hospital appointments for OH so I don't think we will be going anywhere for a few weeks.

Thanks Millie we are not sure if we will be coming home after Hunstanton or have a few days at Sandringham, but its the time of year when autumn dog disease is around and parts of the estate are hotspots ,but we have to be back by the 19th Nov as i have three Hospital appointments over that week, and have yet to get our flu jabs as they have run out of over 65s flu vacine in Hertfordshire until mid to end of Nov

Hope your OH gets sorted ,we are back at FM 15th Dec for a week (i think)

Hope you've found somewhere TDA, if not did you see this one near Snitterfield, a good base there for several places around Stratford and Warwick.

I thought at first you'd caught me out with one we've not visited, brue,  but looking at it's web site I remember it now. Good for apples I seem to recall. It will be rather dark on there at this time of year I think.

Yesterday we did a bit of site seeing ourselves, visiting Castle Combe, not as special as it's reputed to be IMO, although we did have a nice walk along the terrace above the By Brook, then onto Biddestone which we thought was more interesting, and finished off at Laycock, where I got a copy of John Betjeman's biography for a bargain 50p! Stocked up again at Aldi at Melksham on the way back to the van.

Woke to the sound of rain on the van roof but it soon stopped and eventually the sun came out late in the morning. Today we drove to Bowood House and had a good wander rounds the grounds before lunch and then went into the house in the afternoon. The trees in the park were the most colourful that we've seen this autumn. It's just a pity that we could only take Flyte walking around the large car park. Called in at Sainsbury's at Chippenham for diesel at 130.9p which is by far the cheapest we've seen for quite a while down in the SW.

We did a cruise for or 25th, really enjoyed it.

TDA glad you got to St Mary's we always pay it a visit, OH went to the school just up the road from the club site and visits there always end up in meeting family, old school pals etc. I'm used to standing on pavements in Warwick whilst people relive their pasts together. wink

Unfortunately we can't do a break away unless we do it soon, too many other things happening so we'll have to brave the weather! Hope others are enjoying their breaks too.

Aah, you'll be able to upgrade and watch repeats/rubbish in even higher definition. wink

Or with a smart TV you can stream original content commissioned by the streaming service. As well as the old stuff from back in the day👍🏻😊. Nat Geo is far from rubbish CY, the High Def or upscaled 4K is awesome.

Very frosty start to the day but at least the sun is shining. Off into town shortly  for a hair cut,  may have a mooch around the few shops we have left undecided

Nice to read about trips away,

Brue hope you have good time and weather isn't too cold. We have a couple of weekends planned before Christmas, last year we had snow so hoping it's a bit milder this time.

Millie all the best for Mr H's hospital appointments .

HD good luck with your telly shopping smile
