Weather Reports

Am I the only one struggling to understand why broadcasters are insisting on so many of their reporters standing out in cold and freezing conditions to tell us that .....er.....it's cold and freezing? Do they think we don't know what snow covered roads look like? Or how cold it feels without seeing some poor person standing out there looking thoroughly cheesed off? And presumably these reporters have driven out with a camera crew in spite of any "do not travel" warnings? Makes no sense to me for one!

What annoys me is when they give the weather for 'Wales' as if the whole 175 miles length had the same weather!

I rarely watch the weather forecast particularly in the van, as we don't have a tellysurprised Both at home and in the van I use Metcheck and just enter the town we are closest too.laughing

Is it perhaps a way for the BBC to earn extra revenue by providing advertising under the radar to North Face, Rab, Berghaus etc.😉

Yes I also think it mad, they send  our local weather girl outside the studio in the cold to do the pre bits, and then let her in for the forecast, once she has reached a nice shade of blue. At least more of the women seem to wear hats / hoods. Some of the men don't even have much insulating thatch. Crazy.

After the gender pay gap exposure recently which showed us the very large sums these people are paid, Is it do you think, a way of showing us that they are worth these big fat salaries they all seem to be on? yellsurprised
