We collected our 57 reg. X trail from the dealers today and on the 20 mile journey home the OH was coming up with ideas for remembering the new registration number [I had only just got used to the old one after five years]. In the afternoon we went shopping and on returning to the car I smugly remarked to the OH that she had got the last three letters of the registration wrong the plate ended in 57BXE the OH thought it was 57XBE.

On returning home we checked the paperwork and the OH was correct all the paperwork stated 57XBE. I promptly phoned the dealers and informed them that the number plate did not match the paperwork and after some sharp intakes of breath they apologised and said they would send someone to my house with some new plates. At 06:30 pm a man turned up with the new plates but no drill or screwdriver and so together we removed the old ones and drilled and fitted the new ones.Smile

I’ll bet the guy who printed the wrong letters got some stick off his mates. Laughing
