We buy any car

Just waiting for my new Touareg to make it's way across the channel and we are down to being a one car family now the beloved GLC has gone.

My GLC was four years old and in good condition with 47,000 miles, the VW dealer gave me what I considered to be a good trade in price but the original supplying dealer offered £750 more.

I have never used them before and had not heard good reports but knowing my fall back figure I decided to try WBAC. The on line valuation was very good but expecting it to be chiselled down I presented the car to my local We buy any car depot.  Apart from the, double glazing style, pantomime of  getting a better deal for me by calling senior managers, I ended up with a further £500.

Unexpectedly I am quite happy with the result and I didn't have to travel 40 miles to the dealer.

Nice to know, should I be in a similar position in 3-4 yrs. time I too will try to play one off against the other.

Well done

My son just used them and got a good deal on his Skoda Octavia.  The dealer gave a rubbish price, as did the local car place.   An easy transaction.

We got rid of a VW Polo with 120k on the clock for a much better price at WBAC than the dealer too. Don't dismiss the idea.

We sold our SMax to WBAC 8 years ago and got a very good price then.

Little tip if you have time, is not to take the first offer they give, if you can wait they usually come back after a few days with a better offer.smile
