Hi Guys n Gals,

I wonder if anyone has any idea about visas after Brexit? Would we need a visa for just the Country we visit, or would we need a visa for every Country we pass through? Do we need a personal visit to an Embassy or can we get visas online, or through the post? Any advice would be helpful to those of us who have never dealt with the subject of visas previously. Thanks and warmest regards.

Steve.

Thanks to all for the replies, I suppose that as I had no knowledge about travelling prior to the EU open borders malarkey and my own experience of travel prior to 1975 (F Mov 220 and MOD form 90), I was hoping for someone who had any knowledge of the possible need of visas.

Once again, thanks all, warmest regards

Steve.

wink If we could all read the future Steve ,we'd all be multi-millionaires !!  Maybe some government minister or department has some 'insider information' ,but they won't tell !! Watch them to see which way they jump ,maybe ?? undecided.

Logic says that our friends in Europe will not require visas for travel, we spend millions on holidays in Europe and that will continue. Unhindered by paperwork.

As a few have already stated.  Never needed a visa before EU, and we didn't need a 10 year passport.  We used a one year passport which was much more cheaper, probably why it was scrappedsmile

According to The Independent the one year passport was £12 and the ten year £18, its popularity was due the ease of issue, instant and no need for countersigning by appropriate people, as passports started carrying more and more info its days were numbered and some european countries threatened to refuse entry to holders
