Too trusting...

I did some Tree work recently for a Lady in Her 80's.The Lady's Nephew asked me to sort it for Her. I owed Him a favour so there'd be no cost. I knocked, She opened the door to Her old Cottage, invited me in without knowing me. Took me thru the whole bottom floor of the house. After I introduced myself & explained why I called I got on with the job. After I'd finished & was loading up the Truck She came out with an old black plastic bag full of notes, asking how much I wanted. It's frightening how trusting She was with a stranger. How do folk like this Lady survive in this harsh world when they are the number 1 choice of victim for evil thieves?
