To enjoy a stroll down Memory Lane.

I don't mind a bit of undisturbed solitude, where I often find myself having a wander down Memory Lane, which for the most part has been a happy life so far, filled with injustices and struggle and all that, but still, by being a decent all-round, 'did-his-best' unselfish bloke, I find Memory Lane a place i don't mind to find myself.

And this is partly why I find caravanning appealling. Caravanning complements Memory Lane in that it affords the time and space and tranquillity to reverie, but then also the very physical way to come out of that mode and into the present by hitching up and moving on into the new unknown.  It is a nice little balance which for me increasingly becomes more of a need in my life.

Does any of this strike a chord with other caravanners? Do other caravanners experience the 'itch', and that type of thing, which is why they are so committed to caravanning in a deep and spiritual way, a thing which seems to bond us all? Maybe it is Memory Lane and an itch to move which is what bonds us? Or what do you think it is which we all seem to have in common and makes it feel like a family?
