Three Quarter Length Shorts

Inspired by another thread......

Can anyone explain what these things are about?

These are the garment that are halfway between shorts and trousers. They are like trousers, but end halfway between knee and ankle.......like trousers that have badly shrunk.

Do the wearers hope to get a tan on the lower few inches of their legs? Could they not make their mind up between trousers and shorts that day??

MrsH and I refer to them as "Dork-shorts".......because the wearer looks such a dork.

Can anyone explain them? Does anyone admit to wearing them??

You are both looking way too deep NTH. and the liker.

Was meant to be funny not an instruction. Chill out good peopleSmile

By the way, it is a very well known quote from a well regarded American writer and indeed from many years ago.

To all those bragging about super slim waistlines from their yoof may I offer an alternative?

 Quote by Hunter S Thompson

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

That's how to do it.

Surely the two are not incompatable. One can still keep ones shape and all the while enjoying the better things in like. Moderation instead of gluttony!Wink

..If only that were true ,my OH has been very active most of her life, but has only got to smell anything "not healthy" and she puts on weight and has also tried just about evry diet going, but as our Doc says if your metabalism is that way enclined, then there is nothing any "good diet" doFrown

I realised that Fysh, hence the wink at the end. If you knew me personally you'd know just how chilled out I am. I'm sure others on here can vouch for that.

I'm sure I'm still the same size waist as in my early days.....they must be making the trousers smaller......

M&S dropped all their 30" waist trousers and shorts a year or two ago....i used to be able to pick up a couple of pairs at the end of the season.....smallest in the range now is 32".

by the way....im pretty happy in that i can 'still ride' and have enough breath left afterwards to proclaim itWink

Write your comments here...No they haven't. Bought two pairs of trousers 30" waist earlier this year and was eyeing another pair but wrong colour about 3 weeks ago.

..And your point is? thats where most people have it wrong, as our doctors say it is  "rocket science" as it is still a problem that is being studied arround the world, no matter what intake some people have ,they still have trouble controlling weight, even in countries that have a healthy low callorie dietsFrown
