Then I realised that was pointless as my Old Age Pension starts November and so might as well have interest at end of term.

If your lucky ET. Recieved the paperwork saying how much they were paying today. The day after it was paid into the bank. So slightly pointless. The paperwork I mean, not the payment.
Now waiting for the semi pointless paperwork from the tax man, saying they can't tax my pension, but will tax something else instead.☹️
Just a case of not so easy come, easy gone, I suppose.😂

Posted on 07/10/2017 16:42 by brueHow nice to have savings EasyT. In 2018 the banks will cease to have funding for lending, I suspect that things will improve when they suddenly need savers money...but not so good for borrowers or anyone with card debts.

Well mortgage lending rates have been ridiculously low for a while. When money is cheap to borrow in normally allows house prices to rise.
Certainly been slim for those relying on income for capital though. I realise that I am fortunate Brue in having ample savings and sufficient income even without a state pension.
