The Pointless Page

Bit damp outside, so I guess I'll be getting wet feet walking Flyte tonight.

Have spent  a few hours at NT Montacute House this morning, took some photos on my phone will try and download a few later, they are never quite as good as the camera shots.

Will this work? A morning st Montacute. The cat is always hoping someone will leave some spare cream from their cream tea!

Renewed my TV license today, pretty pointless when you see the garbage that's put out by the BBC

Montacute......used extensively for filming Wolfs Hall! Nice photos Brue, we like Montacute, lovely house. That gorgeous coloured stone.

That's our local Hamstone, several Hamstone villages round here, all very attractive...a bt like the Cotswolds but no tourists!  (Well just a few coaches at the "big" houses......)

Had a very pleasant day at Beningbrough NT. Went for a walk to Newton on the Ouse then back along the river, seeing the nesting Sand Martins and a female Merganser with 3 youngsters in tow. Then we bought some Yorkshire Blue cheese for lunch from the farm shop and had a good viewing of the house. All in all a pleasant way to pass 5 hours. Only downsde was that we found out we'd left our NT cards at home. Asked MIL to forward to our next CL stop. 

The pair of us have a memory made like a sieve. At least this trip Mrs. WN is leading 3-2.

We bought some cheese too. Fiery Fred's Crazy Cheddar....it nearly jumped off the plate, very strong!  (That's farmers markets for you, always something different.)

Brue, me and Mrs WN will have to join "CA" soon! As long as they don't try to wean me off by using Pineapple chunks pinned to stale bits of cheddar!
