If its Jack Hargreaves that many years ago had a programme on Southern Television as was he just to put a sign on his shed - Gone Fishing!

He was one of presenters of "How". I don't think we got that Southern programme up here, but you can buy the box set apparently! I bet it a very nice trip down memory lane. Sort of thing that might turn up on Talking Pictures channel. Been some very interesting short films on there, I think they are part of film archives.

Noticed thousands round Stonehenge today on news. Must have been a great sight this morning. We are being truly spoilt with the weather here at the moment, another warm and sunny day. So it's dog walking round a pretty reservoir close to us then a bit of a grocery top up for us.

Have a lovely day everyone!laughing

It  was  fictional  as  you  say  R2B,  the  book  was  later  published  by  somebod  with  an  eye  for  a  quick  profit !!

P.S.  I  did  like  your  tiny  writing  on  the  piccies,  Mate  --  nearly  stopped  my  aged  eyes  from  watering  !!tongue-out

TTDA,  the  programme  'How'  /  'How 2'  was  certainly  transmitted  on  ITV  in  the  north-west  region  { Granada - land  as  it  is  known  now  }  but  was  probably  a  Midlands  programme  originally  --  without  looking  it  up  on  Bling.

You  might  actually  be  right  there  David  !!  One  of  his  earlier  Programmes  for  Southern  TV,  Where  for  a  while  he  was  a  member  of  the  Board  --  so  a  London  boy  made  good  wink.

Also  my  apologies  to  TTDA  --  it  was  indeed a  networked  Southern  TV programme  which,  sadly,  ended  when  Southern  T.V.  disappeared  in  1981

R2B,  Some  similarities  in  the  piccy,  mate,  a  long  long  time  since  I  smoked  a  Falcon  pipe  tho,  &  never  did  wear  a  flat  cap  cool!!  But  for  the  rest  ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,,
