Thank you Jessie

Earlier this evening the sun was shining and the sky was blue. I was standing outside near the supermarket entrance enjoying the last of my cigarette whilst watching the shoppers come and go.

Jessie was young girl of about six or seven years old and had just left the supermarket with her mum and dad. Jessie's dad was pushing the fully laden shopping trolley down the ramp back to the car, whilst Jessie and her mum took a short cut by walking down the steps close to the wall I was standing by.  Jessie and mum past by me and a few seconds later mum looked back towards me, looked me in the eye then looked directly at the ground to a point just a few feet away from where I was stood.    Look Jessie, she said 'there's a two pence piece on the ground' ..  I looked down and there it was a shiny two pence piece.  Jessie's face lit up with joy as she ran towards me giggling, she stopped, shouted Yay! bent down and picked up the two pence piece and with a huge grin on her face she ran back towards her mother.

What Jessie didn't realise was that as she bent down to pick up the coin a £5 note fell from the back pocket of her little blue shorts..

So, I just wanted to say thank you to Jessie for the unexpected beer ...  It went down a treat, especially on such a lovely warm evening. Happy
