SO!

The Headteacher at my school has a strange Robert Peston- like way of enunciating his words. He has a   pause     between     words   and sometimes between letters in words. His Assistant Heads have taken to doing this too. So ridiculous!

So!

I was told by my parents that its not nice to make fun of people, I chose to passed this onto my children.

Not everyone is blessed with a high IQ, not everyone is lucky to go to university (or even wanted to) not everyone has the ability to understand the complexities of English grammar/language. 

So,  does that make you feel superior? 

Unfortunarely, many who now go to University have most of the above idiosyncrancies, and much worse. Trying to get their written work into a form that might pass examiners is akin to translating a foreign language.

So what?

Like a lot of things, particularly on CT, I just block it out Our language has changed over hundreds of years so a few more changes won't make much difference

Possibly not but it may make it unintelligible.
