Just returned  from a 1500 mile  trip, 1100 on Scottish roads including M74 and A9 plus most West coast roads. Over teyears wehave seen deterioration but the position now is critical. Pot hoes, badly touched up holes, entire lengths worn out. Dont know what the Scots have been doing with the generous Barnet formula funds we in the South give them, but it surely hasnt gone on road maintenance. Over the last 40 years we have gone, often twice, but will now have to seriously reconsider future trips as the wear to the vehicle is too much.
