Scammers

Having recently placed my Caravan in the Club Classifieds as 'For Sale' I should warn potential Sellers of the 'Scammers' operating out there.

I received an email contact asking for details of condition and price etc to which I replied. The 'Buyer' agreed the purchase price, accepted my description of condition, and said he wished to pay via PayPal,saying the Caravan would be collected by a Transport Company once payment had been cleared to my account.

I later received an email saying 'Payment had been made but that his 'Transport Company' required payment before they would collect. He said he had included an extra £450 + £50 ansd asked me to pay this via Western Union to an address in Paris!

I later received an email from 'PayPal' saying the Funds had been received but would not be cleared until I had made the £500 'payment'.

I immediately sthought 'Scam', and after contacting PayPal [the Genuine one!!] I was assured this was in fact true, and advised me to change my Security details as soon as possible.

I post this as a warning to members to be very suspicious of anyone agreeing to buy without viewing such a purchase.
