Rules and regulations

Seems to be a perennial topic with regard to CC sites. However, is this perhaps something that is endemic to daily life, many people think that rules only apply to others, not themselves ?

My particular gripe centres on drivers behavior in supermarket car parks. Despite clearly marked one way systems, with arrows on the road and no entry signs on the aisles, a significant few ignore the signs and just take the shortest route into or away from their parking space. And either look blank, or give abuse, when one meets them head on, or points to the road markings.

And I'll bet they left their trolley in a parking space ...
