Rear End

If my backside were to expand to a greater width than, say, my shoulders. Would it be correct to say that I was Obese?  Now I know that there is a scientific calculation known as BMI but what does that mean to the people who, seemingly, spend most of their time or income in fast food joints?  I do think that the latest thinking of such people as being 'disabled' by our politicians (European) is (pardon the pun) wide of the mark.  Could UK politicians ensure that this daft thinking does not catch on, after all, most of the problem - with exceptions - is self inflicted.
