Is it me or do other members dislike having your neighbours on the next pitch with a Unit which  has the entrance door on the off side facing you. Maybe I’m not the most sociable person but I don’t want to hear what my neighbors are having for tea (even worse when they have friends round and you feel like your invading their party)when I’m trying to read book, or have them looking straight at me when they sit outside their unit, or is that what caravaning is all about.

Depends what you class as the same area ?   do you mean other pitches near where you are? That are then being serviced before the next arrivalssurprised

Agonising over which side the door on your LV is situated is, IMHO, a bit OTT. Whichever side it is on, if you travel abroad as well, there will be a situation when you are "offside".  Frankly my dear.....

It's amusing to think of the van conversions which have doors on both sides, the occupants could be popping out all over the place...wink

Some say this is the answer to the privacy question. What do others think?

Can we dry our towels on the hedge as per European convention?

There was at one time  caravans with doors both  sides cant remember  the brand. Would be ideal for us, not worried about club site conventions as it's a non issue but when travelling  its can be risky  even dangerous at times stepping out of the van on laybyes

There were quite a few caravans with two doors, Cheltenham, Carlite, Abbey Warwick, Lynton Sabre, Eccles Sapphire, Royale, Fairholme & Thompson Glenmore. I'm not sure but I also think that there was a Safari with two doors too.
